| There's so much hurt in this world. Im surrounded by lives being torn apart by divorce...by relationships tearing at the seams of a complete relationship with God...by people missing other people because they're halfway across the world or dead....by families who think everyday of thier loved one in the middle east looking death in the face. I am sorry for pain and hurt. I can't be the answer. But I can let you know what it is... The biggest I can offer is the love of God. Somewhere in pain there is the absence of love. The cure, therefore, is the presence of love. God is love. So I offer you Him. His blood can cover all your pain like nothing else in the world can. Love, Erin ps-im not always this cynical. Its not cynicism at all actually. Its just reality and part of this hurting reality can be the joy of hope: hope in Jesus Christ and His love for you. |

| Every time I try to find you Every road comees back around Just another hoop to jump through Another mile of covered ground
I am weary of the answers:
More theory and cliche They raise the letter of the law like a banner Till you're small and far away
All the questions in my head Are from my heart instead
Be real to ME now That's all I'm asking Be real to ME now
Every scribe and every scholar No winners in this debate Everybody seems to stand up taller When you're EASY TO EXPLAIN
I don't need to know what I don't know Just got to let it go
Be real to ME now That's all I'm asking Be real somehow ..........More than anything
So lay down the sword And put away the doctrine Love a little more ................................Cuz everybody's broken -who else? N. Nordeman puts it right again....

| well they laid it on thick this week....but im loving every minute of it! please read this...its...my life right now :) "...as for the new exam standards...The millions of essays are being graded by part-time highschool teachers spending and average of one to two minutes per essay...The chances of such tests identifying good writers and writing are less than those of your local weather forecaster's being accurate. When three executives from the nation's premier test-prep company, the Princeton Review, applied the SAT writing standards to the writings of Shakespeare, Hemingway, Gerturde Stein, and Theodore Kaczynski (the Unabomber), the highest score went to---Kaczynski. Not a good sign there... So how do we educate the heart??? There are really only two ways: life experiences and stories about life experiences, which is called literature. All the great preachers and all the great teachers of the heart have used stories to get their lesson across-Aesop, Socrates, Confucious, Moses, and Jesus-stories about mustard seeds and shepherds and vineyards and prostitutes and fishermen and travelers. It is the power of story to educate upstairs as well as downstairs." -Jim Trealease Read-Aloud Handbook Im so glad to be back in school :) |
